ELIZABETH MALCOLM
I’m Elizabeth (Liz) Malcolm MEd, (UH), Licensed Professional Counselor, trained in CBT, ACT, EMDR and The Gottman Method.

MEd., LPC
I have over fifteen years of experience working in Hospitals (In and Outpatient), implementing the Changing Lives Changing Outcomes Program, Rehab, UTMB Correctional Facilities and Private Practice. I utilize the above mentioned training, as well as, but not limited to, Mindfulness, Family Systems, Person Centered, Jungian, Solution Focused Therapy and other Evidence Based Methods.

My familiarity with life in the Caribbean, Europe, Japan, South America and India, in addition to my Christian upbringing and studies, experience in the Teaching and Banking Professions allow me to offer Practical, Culturally Competent, Inclusive and Christian Counseling (upon request).

I believe that each person has a purpose in life.

Traumatic events need not break you. Instead, with support, you can use these events as catalysts for growth as you discover your strengths, learn new skills and new thought patterns to help manage pain and navigate challenging situations, in a safe, compassionate space.

I work ONLINE, with adults who experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, relationship break ups, intermittent explosive anger, Bi-Polar Disorder, Work Stress, Narcissistic Abuse, ADD, Life Transitions, Co-dependency and Empty Nester moms, who did not have the time to cultivate friendships while raising kids and are now lonely but have limited social connections.

I can support you, as you learn problem solving skills to orchestrate the change you want. There is no reason to simply exist, you can make the choice to truly LIVE.

Take a chance, reach out and together we will determine if it’s a good fit for us to walk beside each other on this journey of reconstruction and change.

Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine and her graduate degree, M.Ed. in Counseling, from The University of Houston.
She worked as a banker and an educator for over 15 years before making the decision to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a therapist; something she believes she was born to do.
In her spare time, Liz is an avid soccer fan and pickleball player, who loves music, dancing, cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandkids.
